Murray Hill, the director of GR_Productions 2002, comes from a truly multimedia background. Early in his life he took his first steps towards a career, now spanning over 30 years with his introduction to photographing people and places, which led him to working abroad to gain valuable international experience. Photographery extended his interest into videophotography as a camerman, director and producer for various projects. With his ability to turn images into stories, video editing came next as a necessary step to ensure the highest quality results from concept to final product. Murray became involved in the business side of the music industry and in 1988 and 1990 produced major music events in support of the New Zealand music industry.

In 1990 he convened the first national music conference involving a wide cross section of the industry to bring some focus to what had previously been a fragmentated embryo industry.

During the 1990's he established a music retail business and at this time established a music label in association with Green Door Studios in Christchurch, working as a sound producer/director and promoting many local music artists. His musical interests also extended into playing bass for 3 bands, one of which toured extensively in New Zealand.

In the mid 90's Murray furthered his love of photography, particularly in the fashion area, and moved into computer graphic design and photo-manipulation as an extension to his passion for photography. His fothright approach secured a much wider range of work which allowed him once again to work abroad gaining further international experience.

In 1998, Murray was in the Philippines working alongside a New York trained photographer, Marissa Sawitt, in Manila. By 2000 he was appointed the head conceptual designer for one of the foremost design companies in Malaysia.

Since returning to New Zealand in 2002, again from time in the Philippines, he has produced a range of professional multimedia services, for clients, throughout New Zealand. His innovative approach and commitment to service has been appreciated by clients, some of whom in turn have recommended the services of GR_Productions 2002 to other people. This has realised additional production work and helped broadened the range of services for prospective future clients.

Murray's primary goal is to make advertising production more affordable and available to businesses, not just the large multi-nationals who can afford the big, high spending, advertising budgets.

Today, GR_Productions 2002 can offer websites in various formats including html, flash and php with direct screen customer input, e-commerce, storefront, streaming video and sound online, multi-media presentations for conferences, photography (fashion, product, corporate brand, architecture and tourism related), video filming, editing and post production of video presentations, print design for magazines, posters, brochures and pamphlets (print runs are undertaken by a local printing companies), sound production (128 full digital recording for sound tracks and voice-overs), flash animated sequences, slide show presentations (powerpoint) and storage of images and information on disk for display or archiving.
